The United Education Association organizes educators, parents and the community to take an active role in creating the schools students deserve.

UEA is the new local education association in Shelby County affiliated with the Tennessee Education Association (TEA) and the National Education Association (NEA) with over 3.1 million members.

UEA is a member-driven professional organization advocating to maintain the rights of members to belong to an association that provides representation and benefits.

Being an educator isn’t a job, it’s a calling. It’s also personally rewarding and professionally demanding.

Meet your Uniserv Coordinator

Reginald Fentress, Keyth Harrison, and Tom Marchand are our regional Uniserv Coordinators.

UniServ Directors support Association Leadership and members with:

  • Knowledge of and ability to communicate with members about state and national member benefits programs.

  • Successful organizing and services for all categories of members.

  • Representation with the Association employee-employer relationships directly involving school boards or the superintendent or their designees.
