2018 PECCA Petition

Greetings Educators,

The time has come for us to work together to collect as many signatures as possible for PECCA. PECCA is the Professional Educators Collaborative Conferencing Act, that replaced collective bargaining in 2011. In order to proceed to the next step in the process we need 15% of the teachers and teacher types in SCS District to sign the petition. The petition must be provided to the district by mid-October.

UEA/TEA/NEA have Association Representatives(ARs), Board of Directors(BODs), and building contacts in most schools throughout the district. Please see the AR/BOD/Contact list below to find out who’s your contact person to sign the PECCA Petition.

If you do not see your school on the list above, PLEASE DON’T FRET. Simply click the link below, print a copy of the PECCA Petition, and start collecting signatures in your building.

  1. Hi folks!

I am a bit confused. Although I am a member of USCEA I was told that because I am part of the Charter sector that I should not sign the petetion. Help me understand that if I am a member of the organization that helps amplify the voices of Educators, why was I prompted not to join this opportunity to voice my concerns with my peers? I did not recieve a prompt/email to vote either…Are we missing a sector of educators that are certainly valuable to the organization?
