UEA members in NEA Candidate Training: Join them?

Two UEA members are featured in this 2-minute video about a new NEA training program designed to support and train educators to run and WIN an elected seat!

Connisha Wilkes is a Shelby County Schools teacher and Loranzo Andrews is a SCS special education teacher assistant-also known as an ESP: Education Support Professional.

The UEA is the Shelby County Schools’ local affiliate for the TEA and the NEA. Membership is open to educators and other employees of Shelby County Schools, including teachers, ESPs, administrators and substitute teachers. Employees of other school districts will have their own “local” association but need to be affiliated with TEA and NEA.
